A fantastic place to stay with a large group! A beautifully renovated, spacious building. Phenomenal location 1 min walk from a beautiful sandy beach for swimming. Des and Mary have thought of everything - a very well-equipped kitchen, beach towels, bath robes, Voya toiletries, a BBQ, a projector etc etc. Hoping to return and would recommend to anyone!

What an amazing place to stay for large groups! We had a family gathering here for 4 nights and it did not disappoint. Very luxurious accommodation with facility to sit 18 people in dining room. Location is second to none with a private beach and several walks close by. Mary and Des are such brilliant hosts, they were extremely welcoming and any issue was sorted in minutes! (small issues at that). Can't wait to book again for next year. And by the way they own another house across the road if you need more rooms!

We had the most wonderful time at the Sligo Sea Barn and the cottage across the street - spectacular accommodations in beautiful Sligo for our party of 17. The breathtaking water views and gorgeous countryside were stunning and only surpassed by the hospitality of our hosts Des, Mary, Elena and Tola who took care of our every need. We will definitely be back soon.

Just back from a hen weekend in the sea barn. It was absolutely fantastic, the views were unreal. Des and Mary had everything ready for us and left nothing to spare. Their enthusiasm and knowledge was infectious. The rooms were very comfortable and the whole layout brilliant.

If only one could give more than 5 stars. This is a home away from home. A true healing space. Mary & Desmond have created a unique getaway in North Sligo. If you appreciate nature, tranquility and mindfulness then you better book now. I have never felt so welcomed and cared for by hosts in my life. Can't wait to be back next year!

Sligo Sea Barn is a 5 star property and location. Just returned from a hen party at the weekend with 18 girls and it was top class. Mary and her husband Des are such friendly, helpful people who gave us fabulous recommendations for catering to the barn and a local bus company to take us into Sligo town which was brilliant. Everything in the barn from the interior to the bathroom products are top of the range. I couldn’t fault anything, the bedrooms are huge and so are the beds and they all have en-suites and amazing balcony views to the sea. We took a walk down the pathway to the private beach for a dip the next morning and it was amazing. Thank you for a great time I would highly recommend the Sea Barn to all families/groups for a unique luxurious sea view escape.

I was at the Sea Barn last Saturday for a nurses Réunion afternoon tea.. Mary and Des gave us all a very warm welcome, great info about the place and excellent hospitality.. They were both super hosts.. Our glasses or cups were always filled 🥂. The Sea Barn was a perfect venue for our group of 25..we could easily mingle, move around and Chat with each other. We had full use of all their excellent facilities.. Very large well equipped kitchen.. Bedrooms are fabulous, decor very inviting and relaxing. Perfect place for a getaway.. Very easy to get to from Sligo town. The views are fantastic overlooking Sligo Bay. Lots of car parking space.. I would highly recommend The Sea Barn to small groups and families.. I thoroughly enjoyed myself on my visit to the Sea Barn and will return again..

Our stay was outstanding! From our first sight of the Sligo Sea Barn, to entering the interior our senses were heightened. It began with the very warm welcome from Mary and Desi, the bedrooms were fabulous, with their balconies and sea
views, the kitchen, with all its five star equipment to the balcony overlooking the sea and dining area. The luxury of the Voya toiletries. The private access to the sea and the surrounding garden areas made the experience feel exclusive. I could go on however the features the Sea Barn offers can only be appreciated properly by experience. Go see!

Staying in the Sligo Sea Barn was a fabulous experience. The location is stunning with a private footpath to the beach. Des, Mary, Elena and Tola were wonderful hosts with tea/coffee and homemade cakes for us on arrival. The rooms were super. There were great walking and cycling routes around the area. I was one member of a diving group staying there. We had loads of room to park the jeep and boat in the yard.
I would highly recommend the Sligo Sea Barn to anyone for a wonderful place to stay. And I hope to get back there for a weekend away again soon.

Just had a wonderful stay at The Sligo Sea Barn. We went for a luxurious hen party. The location is an easy drive from Sligo town. The house is very spacious, impeccably clean and very well equipped. The details were very luxurious such as the robes and Voya products in the bathrooms. We hired local caterers on the recommendation of Des and Mary and the food was delicious. The kitchen is very well set up for caterers but would be no problem to cook yourself there either.
The house has a projector which was very easy to connect to wirelessly and we made good use of it for a quiz and games for evening entertainment. All of the guests were very impressed with the house and location. Would definitely recommend Sligo Sea Barn for a group or family celebration. Des and Mary were very welcoming. Thank you!

Just back from a weekend spent with my friends at Sligo Sea Barn. I rarely leave reviews but this place is so special & unique that I had to write about my experience. From the moment we arrived in Sligo Mary & Des the hosts could not have been more helpful and attentive to our group. The accommodation is immaculate, beautifully decorated with the most wonderful smells throughout. The sea views in every room are amazing….it’s really peaceful & direct access to the beach for morning swims etc. Facilities are top notch & the kitchen has everything you need from a self catering point of view. Just lots of little extras that make the stay 5star. Def a hidden gem & we will most certainly be back again. Des & Mary really went out of their way to make our stay extra special. Top marks all round!!
