Making an Online Booking:

After you have entered the dates of your stay and the number of guests, you will be notified that your dates are available and the cost of your stay with us. To secure the dates, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit.

Full payment of the balance must be paid 5 weeks before your stay. The full payment is not refundable, but may be transferrable to new dates. If full payment is not made, Sligo Sea Barn reserves the right to cancel your booking.

Changing Dates and Cancellations:

Once your booking has been confirmed by us, we may accept amendments received from you within 48 hours of the initial booking, pending availability. Changes cannot be made at the commencement of your stay. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation if payment is not made in full. If any portion of the booked period is cancelled after arrival or during your stay, we are not able to refund any payments made.

Where a cancellation is made 3 months or more prior to the commencement date of the booking, we will refund your deposit (less é80 admin fee). Where a cancellation is made less than 3 months, but more than 6 weeks, prior to the commencement date of the booking, we will endeavour to secure a booking for the cancelled dates. If we are able to arrange another booking for the same period and for the same rental price, a refund will be provided (less admin fee). If we are unsuccessful in arranging an alternative booking, your deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel your booking after full payment is made, we you can re-book with us, pending availability. We are unable to refund any money paid, when full payment has been made.

Security Deposit:

All bookings are subject to a refundable security deposit of €1,000. This must be paid via bank transfer 7 days before arrival. The security deposit will be returned within 7-10 days of departure after the barn has been checked. Any breakages/damage should be reported before departure.

Covid 19:

Cleaning and disinfection protocols have been followed for the cleaning of our premises. Neutral detergent and 0.05% sodium hypochlorite have been used. We have paid particular attention to frequently touched surfaces (touch points).  All bed linen and towels have been washed at a high temperature and in accordance with the Government of Ireland’s Public Health advice. Extra blankets and beach towels are stored separately (please ask us for these anytime). If the blankets are used, please leave them in your room for laundering.
Used beach towels can be left in the bathroom. Any additional items you need, please contact us.

Alcohol-based hand sanitiser is available at the main entrance/exit.

Housekeeping During Your Stay:

For stays more than 3 days, we provide a housekeeping service. This may include refreshing the bathroom sinks and toilets, providing new towels if needed, emptying refuse and recycling, and other small touches – at a time agreed by our guests and ourselves.  Used towels should be placed on the bathroom floor.

We ask that on departure, you leave the barn, its contents, and the grounds in good condition. Excessive cleaning is charged at 30e per hour. 
We reserve the right to terminate your booking for serious breaches of our house rules and anti-social behaviour.

Number of Guests:

You must notify us by email at least 24 hours before arrival if there are any additional guests staying.  If it transpires that more guests stay in the barn than what was agreed and paid for, we reserve the right to retain the complete security deposit without discussion.

Permission from the owners must be secured before arrival for any other visitors (caterers, musicians, ‘friends’, etc.) to the barn. No mixologists are allowed. We reserve the right to terminate/cancel the booking for any infringements related to the number of guests and/or visitors in Sligo Sea Barn, staying or otherwise.

Arrival and Departure times:

Arrival time is after 3:30 PM and departure time is 11:00 AM unless prior arrangements have been made.
Please inform us of your intended arrival time. If you need assistance with transport, please contact us.

Issues During Your Stay:

From time to time, items may break down or get damaged through normal wear and tear, without warning. We will try to repair or replace these items as soon as possible during your stay. However we cannot guarantee the issue will be rectified during your stay as this may be reliant on outside factors, e.g. trades people. We apologise for this inconvenience, but we are not able to prevent breakdowns from happening, or know if / when they will occur.

We accept no responsibility for loss, theft, injury or damage to any member of your party or their property, howsoever caused, arising in any manner from the letting of these premises and attached properties, use of access paths to the sea, and entire farmlands, farm animals, and farm tractors and machinery.

We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time, and without notice.
Any revised edition of the terms and conditions will be effective immediately when displayed on this site.

Your accommodation includes:

  • Beds freshly made with 100% cotton sheets.
  • A set of towels (bath, hand and face) per person. Bathmats in each bathroom.
  • VOYA organic products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and bar soap) in each bathroom Heating, Water and Electricity
  • Unlimited Free Fibre Broadband


The barn is strictly non-smoking.
