Making an Online Booking:

After you have entered the dates of your stay and the number of guests, you will see a summary showing the dates and the cost. To secure the booking, we require payment in full. This payment is non-refundable, but is transferrable.

Changing Dates and Cancellations:

Once your booking has been confirmed by us, we may accept amendments received from you within 48 hours of the initial booking, pending availability. Amendments after this time will not be accepted. Changes cannot be made at the commencement of your stay. If any portion of the booked period is cancelled/changed before or after arrival, we are not able to refund any monies.

If a change must be made to the booked dates (no less than 8 weeks before the stay date), you will be given the option to transfer the payment to other dates (if available). All monies (less admin fee of 80e) will be refunded if travel is restricted by the Irish Government (e.g. pandemic).

Security Deposit:

All bookings are subject to a security deposit of €500 paid via Revolute or bank transfer (in one transaction only) 7 to 10 days before arrival. We must receive the deposit in our bank before you arrive. The security deposit will be returned within 7 to 10 days after the barn is checked.

Covid 19:

Cleaning and disinfection protocols have been followed for the cleaning of our premises. We pay particular attention to frequently touched surfaces (touch points).

All bed linen and towels have been washed at a high temperature and in accordance with the Government of Ireland’s Public Health advice.

Hand sanitiser is available at the main entrance/exit.


We refresh the bathroom sinks and toilets, provide new towels as necessary, empty refuse, and other small touches on a regular basis – at a time agreed by guests and ourselves.  All used towels should be placed on the bathroom floor. We ask that on departure, you leave the barn, its contents, and surrounds in good condition.  Excessive cleaning is charged at 30e per hour.

Arrival and Departure times:

Arrival time is after 3:00 PM and departure time is 11:00 AM. Please inform us if your intended arrival time needs to be earlier or later than 3:00PM. If you need assistance with transport, please feel free to contact us.

Issues During Your Stay:

From time to time, items may break down or get damaged through normal wear and tear, without warning. We will try to repair or replace these items as soon as possible.  However we cannot guarantee the issue will be rectified during your stay as this may be reliant on outside factors, e.g. trades people.   We apologise for this inconvenience, but we are not able to prevent breakdowns from happening, or know if / when they will occur.

We accept no responsibility for loss, theft, injury/accidents or damage to any member of your party or their property, howsoever caused, arising in any manner from the letting of these premises and attached properties, use of access paths to the sea, and entire farmlands, farm animals, and farm tractors and machinery.

We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time, and without notice.  Any revised edition of the terms and conditions will be effective immediately when displayed on our website. We will endeavour to forward any revised terms and conditions to the person responsible for the booking (group leader).

Health and Safety

  • The barn and areas around the barn are strictly non-smoking.
  • A first aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are located in the kitchen and at entrances/exits main dining area. The access code for the fire alarm in the main area is on the fire panel.
  • Sligo Sea Barn has CCTV externally.
  • Please close all doors (including patio doors) when leaving the building.
  • For your safety, please keep all doors closed in wet and windy conditions.

Your accommodation includes:

  • Beds freshly made with premium cotton sheets.
  • One set of towels (bath, hand and face) per person. Bathmats in each bathroom.
  • VOYA shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and bar soap in each bathroom. Bathrobes and slippers. And of course beach towels if feel like a dip in the sea
  • Unlimited Free Fibre Broadband
  • Monitored Free Car Parking
  • Des is happy to provide wellies or boots as needed for the farm
